About Diisooctyl Sebacate
Diisooctyl Sebacate is an ester in which parts derived from an acid and an alcohol are joined.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to slow the oxidation of formula ingredients caused by reactions with oxygen, reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel, and add flexibility so that films or polymer layers do not become excessively hard.[1] It is also used to leave the skin surface soft and smooth.[1]
