About Diisobutyl Sodium Sulfosuccinate
Diisobutyl Sodium Sulfosuccinate is the sodium salt of the diester of isobutyl alcohol and sulfosuccinic acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to increase the amount of foam and help it resist collapsing, help poorly water-soluble ingredients disperse more evenly in the water phase, and leave the skin surface feeling soft and smooth.[2] It is also used to lower surface tension so raw materials can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
