About Dihexyl Sodium Sulfosuccinate
Dihexyl Sodium Sulfosuccinate is the sodium salt of the diester of 1-methylamyl alcohol and sulfosuccinic acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities be washed away with water, to increase the amount of foam and help it remain stable, and to help ingredients that are not readily soluble in water disperse more evenly in the aqueous phase.[2] It is also used to lower surface tension so that raw materials can wet, mix, and disperse evenly.[2]
