Diethylene Glycol/Dimer Dilinoleic Acid Copolymer is a copolymer of diethylene glycol and dimer dilinoleic acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to form a thin film on the surface of the skin, hair, and nails after application; to reduce tangling and rough feel in hair, leaving it soft and manageable; and to leave the skin’s surface feeling soft and smooth.[2] It is also used to help keep the formulation’s condition and properties from changing easily during storage.[2]
