About Diethylaminoethyl Stearate

Diethylaminoethyl Stearate is an aliphatic ester.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities wash away with water, create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and form foam during use.[2] It is also used to reduce hair tangling and roughness for a smoother finish and to lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
