About Diethyl Caprylamide

Diethyl Caprylamide is a substituted amide.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to keep the characteristic odor or taste of raw materials from being overly noticeable, and to add fragrance to products or adjust the characteristic odor of raw materials.[3] In Europe, the secondary amine content of the finished product is limited to a maximum of 0.5%, and the nitrosamine content must also be no more than 50 μg/kg.[2]
