About Didecyldimonium Chloride

Didecyldimonium Chloride is a quaternary ammonium salt.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or stick together, create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly blended, and reduce hair tangling and roughness for smoother conditioning.[2] It is also used to lower surface tension so raw materials can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
