About Dicapryl Sodium Sulfosuccinate
Dicapryl Sodium Sulfosuccinate is the sodium salt of the diester of capryl alcohol and sulfosuccinic acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities wash away with water, keep emulsions of water and oil from separating easily, and help ingredients that do not dissolve well in water disperse more evenly in the water phase.[2] It is also used to lower surface tension so raw materials can wet, mix, and disperse evenly.[2]
