About Dibehenyl Methylamine

Dibehenyl Methylamine is a tertiary aliphatic amine.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or stick together, and to smooth hair by reducing tangling and a rough feel. In Europe, the maximum concentration is 2.5% in leave-on products; no separate maximum concentration is specified for rinse-off products. Nitrosamines must also be no more than 50 μg/kg.[2] [3]
