Diammonium Lauryl Sulfosuccinate is the ammonium salt of the lauryl alcohol half ester of sulfosuccinic acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities rinse away with water, create foam during use, and help water-insoluble ingredients disperse more evenly in the water phase.[2] It is also used to leave the skin’s surface feeling soft and smooth and to lower surface tension so raw materials can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
