About Di-C12-15 Pareth-8 Phosphate
Di-C12-15 Pareth-8 Phosphate is a complex mixture of diesters of phosphoric acid and synthetic C12-15 ethoxylated alcohols with an average of 8 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] The number 8 at the end of the name refers to the average number of ethylene oxide units added. It changes the balance between water-loving and oil-loving portions, resulting in differences in cleansing power, emulsifying ability, and sensory feel. In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities rinse away with water, create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly blended, and lower surface tension so raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
