About Di-C12-15 Pareth-10 Phosphate
Di-C12-15 Pareth-10 Phosphate is a complex mixture of diesters of phosphoric acid and synthetic C12-15 ethoxylated alcohols with an average of 10 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] The number 10 at the end of the name refers to the average number of added ethylene oxide units. It changes the balance between water-loving and oil-loving parts, producing differences in cleansing power, emulsifying ability, and sensory feel. In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities wash away with water, to create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and to reduce surface tension so that raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
