Dextrin Stearate is an ester of dextrin and stearic acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help powder ingredients flow evenly without forming lumps, create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
