About DEA Pg-Oleate
DEA Pg-Oleate is an ester formed by combining portions derived from an acid and an alcohol.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities wash away with water, to lower surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly, and to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly blended.[1] It cannot be used in cosmetics in Europe.[2]
