About DEA-Dodecylbenzenesulfonate

DEA-Dodecylbenzenesulfonate is an ester formed by combining portions derived from an acid and an alcohol.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities wash away with water, create foam during use, and lower surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[1] It cannot be used in cosmetics in Europe.[2]
