About DEA-Cyclocarboxypropyloleate

DEA-Cyclocarboxypropyloleate is an ester formed by combining portions derived from an acid and an alcohol.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to lower surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly; create emulsion formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed; and help sebum and impurities wash away with water.[1] It cannot be used in cosmetics in Europe.[2]
