About Cyclotetrasiloxane
Cyclotetrasiloxane is a cyclic dimethyl polysiloxane.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel, smooth hair by reducing tangling and a rough feel, and condition the skin's surface, leaving it soft and smooth.[3] It is also used to dissolve other ingredients to create a uniform formulation.[3] It cannot be used in cosmetics in Europe.[2]
