About Cyclodextrin Laurate
Cyclodextrin Laurate is a substance obtained by reacting cyclodextrin with lauric acid chloride.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to form a thin film on the surface of the skin, hair, or nails after application, attract water to the formula and skin surface to help maintain a moisturized feel, and condition the skin surface, leaving it soft and smooth.[2] It is also used to help protect the skin from external factors.[2]
