About Cuminum Cyminum Seed Oil

Cuminum Cyminum Seed Oil is an essential oil obtained from cumin seeds.[1] Because it mainly contains lipid components obtained from the seeds, it mixes more readily with oils than with water and is suitable for adding slip and a supple feel to skin or hair while reducing the feeling of moisture evaporating quickly. In cosmetics, it is used to prevent the characteristic odor or taste of raw materials from becoming overly prominent, add fragrance to the product or adjust the inherent odor of raw materials, and leave skin or hair feeling fresh and conditioned.[4] In Korea, it may be used as cumin oil at up to 0.4% in leave-on products.[2] In Europe, it may be used in finished cosmetic leave-on products at a level of up to 0.4% as cumin oil.[3]
