Cuminum Cyminum Seed Extract is an ingredient extracted from cumin seeds.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to prevent the raw material’s characteristic odor or taste from becoming too prominent, add fragrance to a product or adjust the raw material’s characteristic odor, and leave the skin surface feeling soft and smooth.[4] In Korea, it may be used as cumin oil at up to 0.4% in leave-on products.[2] In Europe, it may be used in leave-on cosmetic products up to a maximum equivalent to 0.4% cumin oil.[3]
