About Cornamide DEA

Cornamide DEA is a mixture of ethanolamides of corn acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to increase the amount of foam and help keep it from collapsing easily, lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly, and adjust a formula’s viscosity and flow.[3] In Europe, the secondary amine content of the finished product is limited to a maximum of 0.5%, and the nitrosamine content must also be no more than 50 μg/kg.[2]
