About Cocoyl Sarcosinamide DEA
Cocoyl Sarcosinamide DEA is an amide.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to increase the amount of foam and help it last longer, reduce tangling and rough feel to leave hair smooth, and lower surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[3] It is also used to adjust the viscosity and flow of formulas.[3] In Europe, the secondary amine content of finished products is limited to a maximum of 0.5%, and the nitrosamine content must not exceed 50 μg/kg.[2]
