About Cocoyl Methyl Glucamide
Cocoyl Methyl Glucamide is an ingredient obtained by reacting methyl glucamine with cocoyl chloride.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce tangling and rough texture in hair for smooth grooming, to leave the skin surface feeling soft and smooth, and to dissolve other raw materials to create a uniform formula.[2] It is also used to lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly, and to control the viscosity and flow of the formula.[2]
