Cocodimonium Hydroxypropyl Hydrolyzed Casein is a quaternary ammonium chloride in which R is mainly an alkyl group derived from coconut oil and R' is part of hydrolyzed casein.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or stick together, reduce tangling and roughness in hair for smoother conditioning, and leave the skin surface feeling soft and smooth.[2]
