About Cocaminobutyric Acid
Cocaminobutyric Acid is a substituted amino acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities rinse away with water, reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel, and reduce hair tangling and roughness for smoother hair.[2] It is also used to lower surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
