About Cocamine Oxide
Cocamine Oxide is a tertiary amine oxide.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that can cause hair strands to lift or cling together, help sebum and impurities rinse away with water, and increase the amount of foam while helping it resist collapsing.[2] It is also used to reduce tangling and a rough feel for smoother hair, help ingredients that do not dissolve well in water disperse more evenly in the aqueous phase, and lower surface tension so raw materials can wet, mix, and disperse evenly.[2]
