About Cocamidopropyl Dimethylamine
Cocamidopropyl Dimethylamine is an amidoamine.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or stick together, to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and to reduce tangling and rough feel in hair for smooth manageability.[2] It is also used to lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
