About Cocamide Mea

Cocamide MEA is primarily a mixture of ethanolamides of coconut acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly mixed, help prevent the emulsion from separating easily, and increase the amount of foam and help keep it from collapsing easily.[2] It is also used to lower surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly, and to control the viscosity and flow of a formula.[2]
