About Cocamide DEA Sesqui

Cocamide DEA Sesqui is an individual ingredient used in cosmetics.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel, create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly blended, and attract moisture to the formula and skin surface to help maintain a moisturized feel.[1] It is also used to leave the skin surface soft and smooth, and to lower surface tension so that raw materials can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[1] In Europe, the secondary amine content of the finished product is limited to a maximum of 0.5%, and the nitrosamine content must not exceed 50 μg/kg.[2]
