About Cocamide

Cocamide is a fatty acid amide.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed, help keep the emulsified state from separating easily, and reduce surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2] It is also used to adjust a formula’s viscosity and flow.[2]
