About Climbazole
Climbazole is an individual ingredient used in cosmetics.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce the formation or visibility of dandruff on the scalp, inhibit the growth of microorganisms, and slow deterioration during storage by inhibiting microbial growth in the product.[4] In Korea, it may be used at up to 0.5% only in hair products and may not be used in other products.[2] In Europe, when used as a preservative, it may be used at up to 0.2% in hair lotions, face creams, and foot-care products, and up to 0.5% in rinse-off shampoos. When used for purposes other than preservation, it may be used at up to 2.0% in rinse-off anti-dandruff shampoos.[3]
