About Choleth-24
Choleth-24 is the polyethylene glycol ether of cholesterol ethoxylated with an average of 24 moles.[1] Its properties and feel in the finished product may vary depending on the formulation concentration, the ingredients used with it, the formulation's acidity, and manufacturing conditions. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and to lower surface tension so that ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
