About Choleth-20
Choleth-20 is the polyethylene glycol ether of cholesterol ethoxylated with an average of 20 moles.[1] Its properties and skin feel in the finished product may vary depending on the concentration, the ingredients used with it, the formula's acidity, and manufacturing conditions. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed and to lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
