About Chlorophene

Chlorophene is a halogenated phenolic compound.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to inhibit the growth of microorganisms and to slow spoilage during storage by inhibiting microbial growth in the product.[4] In Korea, it may be used in finished cosmetic products at up to 0.05%.[2] It cannot be used in cosmetics in Europe.[3]
