Chlorella Minutissima/Sodium Glutamate Ferment Extract Filtrate is an ingredient obtained by fermenting a type of algae in a medium containing sodium glutamate, followed by extraction and filtration.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to slow the oxidation of formulation ingredients caused by reaction with oxygen, reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel, and attract moisture to the formulation and skin surface to help maintain a moisturized feel.[2] It is also used to smooth and soften the skin surface.[2]
