About Cetrimonium Tosylate

Cetrimonium Tosylate is a quaternary ammonium salt.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to inhibit microbial growth, reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or stick together, and create emulsion formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed.[2] It is also used to reduce hair tangling and roughness for smoother grooming and to lower surface tension so raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
