About Cetethyldimonium Bromide
Cetethyldimonium Bromide is a quaternary ammonium salt.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to inhibit the growth of microorganisms, reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or cling together, and create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly mixed.[2] It is also used to lower surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
