About Cetearalkonium Bromide
Cetearalkonium bromide is a quaternary ammonium salt.[1] The physical properties and sensory feel of finished products containing cetearalkonium bromide may vary depending on the concentration, the ingredients used with it, the formula’s acidity, and manufacturing conditions. In cosmetics, it is used to inhibit the growth of microorganisms, reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or cling together, and slow deterioration during storage by inhibiting microbial growth in the product.[2]
