About Cellulose Acetate Propionate Carboxylate
Cellulose Acetate Propionate Carboxylate is an ingredient obtained by ozonizing cellulose acetate propionate.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help formulation ingredients bind together and maintain their form, prevent emulsified mixtures of water and oil from separating easily, and form a thin film on the surface of skin, hair, or nails after application.[2] It is also used to lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly, and to control the viscosity and flow of the formulation.[2]
