About Carboxymethyl Caprooyl Chitosan
Carboxymethyl Caprooyl Chitosan is a polysaccharide made of linked sugar units.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to absorb liquids in formulations, such as water or oil; form a thin film on the skin, hair, or nail surface after application; and attract water to the formulation and skin surface to help maintain moisture.[1] It is also used to dissolve other ingredients and create a uniform formulation, and to lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[1]
