About Captan
Captan is an individual ingredient used in cosmetics.[1] Its properties and feel in the finished product may vary depending on the formulation concentration, the ingredients used with it, the formulation’s acidity, and manufacturing conditions. In cosmetics, it is used to inhibit the growth of microorganisms.[1] In Korea, it is classified as an ingredient that cannot be used in cosmetics.[2] It cannot be used in cosmetics in Europe.[3]
