About Caprylyl/Capryl Wheat Bran/Straw Glycosides
Caprylyl/Capryl Wheat Bran/Straw Glycosides are ingredients obtained by glycosylation of monosaccharides derived from hydrolyzed wheat bran and hydrolyzed wheat straw with a mixture of caprylyl and capryl alcohols.[1] In cosmetics, they are used to help sebum and impurities wash away with water, create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and help keep those emulsions from separating easily.[2] They are also used to increase the amount of foam and help it remain stable, and to lower surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
