About Capryloyl Hydrolyzed Keratin

Capryloyl Hydrolyzed Keratin is a condensation product of caprylic acid chloride and hydrolyzed keratin.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static that causes hair strands to lift or stick together, help sebum and impurities wash away with water, and smooth hair by reducing tangling and a rough feel.[2] It is also used to leave the skin’s surface feeling soft and smooth and to lower surface tension so raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
