Capryloyl/Caproyl Methyl Glucamide is a raw material obtained by reacting a mixture of caproyl chloride and capryloyl chloride with methylglucamine.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly mixed, increase the amount of foam and help it last longer, and leave the skin’s surface soft and smooth.[2] It is also used to lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
