About Capryleth-5

Capryleth-5 is the polyethylene glycol ether of capryl alcohol.[1] The physical properties and sensory feel of a finished product containing Capryleth-5 may vary depending on the concentration, the ingredients used with it, the formulation’s acidity, and manufacturing conditions. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and to lower surface tension so that ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
