About Caprylamide Mea

Caprylamide MEA is an individual ingredient used in cosmetics.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to slow the oxidation of formula ingredients caused by reactions with oxygen, reduce friction on the skin or hair and provide a smooth feel, and create emulsion formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed.[3] It is also used to help condition the skin’s surface, leaving it soft and smooth, to help protect the skin from external factors, and to reduce surface tension so raw materials can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[3] In Europe, the secondary amine content of finished products is limited to a maximum of 0.5%, and nitrosamine content must also be no more than 50 μg/kg.[2]
