About Capric Acid
Capric Acid is a fatty acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities wash away with water, create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and prevent the characteristic odor or taste of raw materials from becoming too prominent.[2] It is also used to add fragrance to products or adjust the characteristic odor of raw materials, and to lower surface tension so raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
