About Caffeoyl Tetrapeptide-19 Caffeamide

Caffeoyl Tetrapeptide-19 Caffeamide is an ingredient obtained by reacting caffeic acid with the N-terminal and lysine residues of Tetrapeptide-19, and is a derivative of Tetrapeptide-19.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to slow the oxidation of formulation ingredients caused by reactions with oxygen, reduce the effects of metal ions on color, scent, and formulation stability by binding them, and protect the skin from external factors.[2] It is also used to absorb or reflect ultraviolet radiation and reduce the amount reaching the skin.[2]
