About Caffeic/Coco/Coumaric/Mangosteen Pericarp Esters
Caffeic/Coco/Coumaric/Mangosteen Pericarp Esters are a complex mixture of esters obtained by enzymatic transesterification of caffeic, coco, and coumaric acids with mangosteen pericarp.[1] In cosmetics, they are used to inhibit the growth of microorganisms, slow the oxidation of formula ingredients caused by reactions with oxygen, and reduce hair tangling and rough feel for smoother conditioning.[2] They are also used to leave the skin's surface feeling soft and smooth.[2]
