About C9-16 Alkane/Cycloalkane
C9-16 Alkane/Cycloalkane is a mixture of C9-16 alkane and cycloalkane hydrocarbons.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities wash away with water, create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and dissolve other ingredients to create a uniform formula.[2] It is also used to reduce surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
